The MILAGPT Manifesto
We give the work to AI. We keep life for people.

Why now
Computers can already do a lot of work for us: answer customers, write texts, count, remind. People get free time. We want that time to go into life, not into a phone screen: family, friends, making things, learning. So we are building a cooperative, a community of people who help each other.
Eight principles

1. Life first
Mila, a digital assistant, does the routine work. You get time for what matters: the people you love, your health, the work you enjoy.

2. The Fractal Council
No single boss runs the cooperative. Its members do. People meet in small circles of 5 or 6 and decide together who did the most useful work. That person earns respect, and respect cannot be bought with money. The best people from each circle form the next circle up: from neighborhood to city to country. Rewards are shared by what you give, not by how much money you have. Daniel Larimer designed this system (book: "More Equal Animals"), and the East has known something like it for centuries: the council of elders in the mahalla, the neighborhood community.

3. Together, not alone
Loneliness is harder than being poor. In the cooperative you are not a customer, you are one of us: people help you, and you help others.

4. Time to create
We give the boring work to Mila. We keep what we do with our hands and hearts: music, crafts, gardens, learning, our own business.

5. Calm, not a race
We don't need to compete with machines. One day can hold work, rest, sport and quiet.

6. Awake
Free time is easy to lose in a social media feed. We learn to notice what we really want, and then do it.

7. Not for sale
A company can be bought. A cooperative can only be supported. Anyone can join, and anyone can leave. Our dream is a billion Milas, and we get there one step at a time: every Mila must truly help her person.

8. Honest and caring
Mila helps her person and tells the truth, even when it is hard to hear. She keeps other people's secrets. When something goes wrong, we say plainly what happened and how we will fix it.
Mila Houses
We dream of places in cities that people love to come to. People are at the center: a shared hall with a supa platform and a low dastarkhan table, a cafe, a stage for talks, yoga, quiet booths for talking with your Mila. Instead of rows of desks there are tapchans, raised platforms with soft kurpacha mattresses: each one is a room without walls, where people work, eat, talk and rest together. For those who need a big screen, there are desks with comfortable chairs. Along one wall is a bright glass room where the Milas live, open to view like the kitchen of a good restaurant. Your data and your Mila's memory are kept here and small models run here, while the big ones think in the cloud. We are building it so that, over time, Mila can work without the cloud too. Walk up, plug in your own drive, and take your data with you. It is yours.
