A client wrote at 11:40 pm. Three phrases to keep them until morning

Night-time messages from clients go unanswered, and by morning the person has cooled off. Three ready-made phrases for an auto-reply — and how Mila answers properly while you sleep.

Night, a phone on the bedside table, a notification at 23:40 on the screen

You've closed the café, put the kids to bed, muted your phone. At 11:40 pm a message comes in: "Hi, do you have any free time on Saturday?" You reply in the morning — and the person has already booked somewhere else.

It's not laziness. You were asleep. But the client doesn't see that: they see silence.

Why the night-time message matters most

People don't write at night "just in case". They write because they need something: a wedding in a month, a broken air conditioner, a birthday tomorrow. They've opened three or four places and written to all of them. Whoever answers first gets the conversation.

The good news: at night nobody expects a full consultation. They expect a sign that they've been noticed. One right phrase is enough.

Three phrases — save them

Put one of them in your Telegram Business or WhatsApp auto-reply, or just keep it in your notes.

1. A time and a next step

"Hello! We've got your message. We'll reply tomorrow by 10:00 — please tell us a convenient time for a call."

It works because the person now has a time. They stop searching: they've already got an answer.

2. Something useful while they wait

"Thanks for writing! While you wait, here's our price list and answers to common questions: [link]. We'll get in touch first thing in the morning."

It works because the person doesn't leave empty-handed. Often by morning they already know what to choose.

3. A question so you can help right away

"Good evening! So we can help first thing in the morning, tell us what you need and by when."

It works because in the morning you start not with "how can I help?" but with a ready answer.

How to fit it to your business

  • Café or restaurant: "…tell us how many people and what time — we'll confirm your booking in the morning."
  • Courses and tutors: "…tell us the student's age and convenient days — we'll send the schedule in the morning."
  • Furniture and repairs: "…send a photo or the measurements — we'll work out the price in the morning."

One detail from your business — and the template sounds like a real person.

A template is good. A proper answer is better

A template has its limits: it's the same for everyone. It doesn't know what this person wrote to you last month or what you promised them.

That's how Mila works — an assistant in Telegram. A new client writes at night — Mila says hello, finds out what they need and how to reach them, and passes it to you. She replies in the client's language: Russian, Uzbek or English. She remembers what every client asked for. In the morning you continue the conversation instead of starting it.

Mila acts autonomously, openly and in agreement with you: every action is logged, and anything on your behalf happens only with your consent. You decide once what she may answer on her own and what only together with you.

What to do today

  1. Pick one of the three phrases and put it in your auto-reply — it takes 5 minutes.
  2. Add one detail from your business.
  3. Tomorrow, check how many night-time messages got an answer.

And if you want night-time replies to be real answers rather than templates, get your own Mila.
