What's new with Mila this week: moving from another agent, honest updates and a record of every task

Two versions of Mila came out this week: 1.7.0 (October 31) and 1.7.1 (November 1). Here is, in plain words, what changed for the owner and why it matters.

Moving from OpenClaw or Hermes — no rush

If you already had another AI agent, you don't have to start from scratch. Mila brings your previous agent's memory, skills and persona into one folder. Then you go through them together, piece by piece: what to keep, what to fix, what to drop.

Keys and passwords are never copied. And any line that looks like an order stays just data: Mila won't follow it.

Details are on the page "Moving from OpenClaw or Hermes".

Mila checks files, not just text

Before sending, Mila used to check only the text of a message: would a key or service information leak out? Now the files Mila attaches to a reply are checked the same way. If a file contains a key, the message doesn't go out.

Before publishing — the whole text, not a fragment

If Mila shows you a post before publishing with a "Publish?" card (that's how the cloud Mila works), the card now shows the whole text. Before, it showed the beginning and the end. Now you see the whole post before it goes out.

An update — all or nothing

An update now installs itself with its own program from the release. An old version can no longer install half and record that everything is done.

A night update counts as successful only if the new program itself says "done". Otherwise Mila honestly writes "not installed", and you keep the previous version.

Your personal Telegram — only if you want it

Working from your personal Telegram account is no longer installed together with the core Mila. It's a separate pack, turned on only if you want it. If you already have it, nothing changes.

How it works for us: a record of every task

Starting this week, the Milas on our team record their work with evidence: a post, a file, a message number. Without evidence, a task doesn't count.

For example, one of them restored 245 of her tasks for the past month from their links. That shows not "how hard I tried" but what came out and what it led to.

What this means for you

  • you can move from another agent without losing anything and without risk to your keys;
  • accidentally sending a password out is even harder now;
  • you see the whole post before it's published;
  • an update won't leave Mila half-broken.
