Mila — open-source digital employee in Telegram

Answers your clients, keeps your promises, remembers every conversation, and tells you every morning what’s on fire.

Terminal
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/shakhruz/mila-agent/main/install/get.sh | bash

Quick start in the READMEMila is part of something bigger — read our Manifesto

You install Claude Code and sign in yourself, only on Anthropic’s page; Mila never stores your login. Customers and guests are served through an API key (OpenRouter).

Install

Run Mila on your own machine

Install with one command

≈ 5 minutes. You need: Claude Code (with a Claude subscription), Bun, a Telegram bot token from @BotFather.

Terminal
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/shakhruz/mila-agent/main/install/get.sh | bash

Then mila onboard — three steps: bot token, Claude sign-in, pairing with your Telegram. Details in the README.

Questions and ideas — in GitHub Discussions.

Claude — by Anthropic’s rules

  • Mila runs on the ordinary, unmodified Claude Code, installed as Anthropic publishes it.
  • You sign in yourself, only on Anthropic’s page, with your own Claude plan or your own Anthropic API key. Mila never copies or stores your login or token.
  • Your plan is for your own use. Customers and guests who write to your bot are served through an API key (OpenRouter), billed to the key’s owner.
  • A partner who sets Mila up for you does not run you on the partner’s subscription, does not resell your Claude usage and does not collect logins.

Digital employee

Why a digital employee, not another universal agent

Universal agents can do anything — if you know exactly how to ask. Business owners don’t have that time.

You talk to her from your phone, by text or voice — like to a person on your team.

Mila comes with a job:

  • client chats
  • a card for every chat
  • promises and tasks
  • decision cards for the owner
  • a weekly rhythm: plan in the morning, results in the evening
  • mailings
  • spending limits
Open source

Why open source

01

Your Mila belongs to you, 100%.

Instructions, skills, memory, settings — one mila export archive, back on any machine with mila restore. No lock-in.

02

Trust needs daylight.

A digital employee talks to your clients. You should be able to read every rule she follows — the constitution, the send-guard, the skills.

03

Better skills, faster.

Every business teaches its Mila something. Open skills let that knowledge travel: one good skill, thousands of Milas.

04

Apache-2.0

Fork it, change it, ship it.

What’s new · Mila 1.6 (28.10.2026)

  • Takes the initiative.

Mila doesn’t wait for instructions: she brings a solution with options and writes “if you don’t mind — I’ll do it this way”.

  • Always ready.

Before every event she checks what’s missing.

  • Stylish.

Before showing a deck or a page — a style council of three views.

  • Task juggler and look-back.

She keeps the flow of requests and remembers what was forgotten by herself.

  • Clear updates.

A plan before each update, a “did it get better?” check after 3–7 days, rollback with one button.

Safety

Safe by default

  • The send-guard blocks a message that would leak one conversation into another; if the guard fails, nothing is sent. Today the guard runs on Milas hosted by MILAGPT; it is being added to the self-host installer.
  • Before paid work — a forecast; afterwards, the actual amount next to it.
