Catalogue: turnkey businesses →Mila remembers from files, not from the model: a card for every chat, the owner’s tastes, your remarks. The same remark heard a third time turns into a ready line for the rules, and you decide whether it goes in. Every line below links to the code.
Memory is a folder of plain files. You can open it, fix it, export it and move it.
The model can change in an evening. The files stay. skills/memory-audit:15-16
A lasting fact, decision or method gets its own file and a line in the MEMORY.md index. A trifle from one session is not written down. Nothing new worth keeping, and she says so instead of inventing entries.
What the chat is for, who is in it, what was agreed. The mechanics create a card skeleton and never overwrite what Mila has written. A note is one command, made during the conversation.
docs/REFERENCE.md:300-305chats_index.py:16-18chat_note.py:3-22What you like to watch, read, eat, where you like to go. One file: your words, a date and where it came from, “said himself” or “noticed from a choice”.
skills/tastes:11-14Mila writes down each of the owner’s remarks as one dated line, without retelling the conversation. When the same remark comes a third time, she does not wait to be told: she drafts the exact line for the rules of the skill where it happened and asks one question, “Add it?”. Whether it goes in is up to you.
memory/zamechaniya.md. skills/self-check:62-64SKILL.md. skills/self-check:62-64The tastes skill picks films, books and places for the owner from one file. CHANGELOG.md:42
There is a section on the topic: three options, each with one line on why it suits you. Facts about films and places come from search, not from memory.
skills/tastes:16-20No section yet: one question with buttons, for example [Comedy] [Drama] [Sci-fi] [I’ll say]. The answer goes into the file at once. No more than one question per topic.
skills/tastes:16-20skills/tastes:35You picked an option, praised it or said “not for me”: one line marked “noticed from a choice”. A new line that contradicts an old one replaces it; the old one moves down, struck through, with a date.
skills/tastes:22-25“Forget my tastes” clears the whole file, “forget about films” clears one section. She says what she has forgotten.
skills/tastes:27-31The memory-audit skill goes through the memory folder and writes a report: what to archive, what to merge, what to fix. Mila deletes and moves nothing in memory on her own; you decide. skills/memory-audit:21-23
The task is done, the event is over: a candidate for the archive, not for deletion.
skills/memory-audit:42-49She suggests which note stays as the main one. She does not merge on her own.
skills/memory-audit:51-54Every [[link]] is checked against a file. When the file is missing, the report says where the link is and the likely reason.
A file the MEMORY.md index does not mention, and a fact that a newer file has already overtaken.
Once you name the action, each one is a separate edit. The archive is not deletion: the file moves to memory/_archive/ and a redirect line stays in the index. skills/memory-audit:94-100 skills/memory-audit:102-107
Reminders survive a session restart: each one is mirrored to ~/work/state/crons.json, and at session start the missing ones are set again. The installer puts this hook in place. docs/REFERENCE.md:92 install/install.sh:107-109
mila export packs instructions, skills, memory, crons and settings into one archive with no passwords or keys. Conversations go in only with --with-history. mila backup saves journals and chat cards on a schedule. README.ru.md:62-75 README.ru.md:76 docs/REFERENCE.md:100
$ mila export --out ~/mila-backups $ mila export verify <archive> $ mila restore <archive> --dry-run $ mila restore <archive>
Restore never overwrites what is already there; differences go to a separate folder. README.ru.md:62-75
